WINONA — The funeral Mass for John Henry Kauphusman Jr. will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Rochester, with the Rev. Charlie Collins officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Kauphusman, 42, of Winona and formerly of Rochester, died Tuesday (Nov. 25, 2008), from an accidental fall at home.
He was born Nov. 14, 1966, in St. Paul.
He married Traci Jacobson. They were later divorced.
Mr. Kauphusman grew up in Rochester. He graduated from Lourdes High School in 1985, then graduated from Winona State. Following graduation, he worked for Fastenal for 17 years. He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed boating, fishing and sports.

Survivors include his children, John H. "Jack," Peter J., Mercedes J., and Roman A., all at home in Winona; his parents, John Sr. and Mary Kauphusman; two sisters, Maria Kauphusman of Rochester and Gina (Dan) Massett of Red Wing; and two brothers, Anthony of Rochester and Nicholas (Gidgette) of Waconia, Minn. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester, and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
