AUSTIN -- The funeral for John R. "Jack " Best will be at a later date.
Mr. Best, 79, of Austin, died Tuesday (April 29, 2003) at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Ark., while visiting family.
He was born Aug. 13, 1923, in Austin. He married Eloise Triggs. She died Aug. 20, 2002.
Survivors include two daughters, Gail (Jay) Dorsett of Orange Park, Fla., and Lori (Mike) Rockers of Little Rock; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marilyn Anair of Phoenix.
Mayer Funeral Home of Austin is charge of arrangements.
