Heidi (Ha Young) Johng, daughter of Yessong and Julia Johng of Rochester, is the winner of the Mozart Concerto Competition in the Young Artist Camp at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. She was among 52 piano students from around the Midwest who participated.
Johng, a sophomore at Mayo High School, hopes to be a concert pianist and is a student of Dr. Horacio Nuguid. She is also a member of the Southeastern Minnesota Youth Orchestra.
