Joseph A. Palmer -- Rochester

RUSHFORD -- The funeral for Joseph A. Palmer will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Ranfranz &; Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester, with the Rev. Paul Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Rushford Oak Grove Cemetery, Rushford.

Mr. Palmer, 42, of Rushford, formerly of Rochester, died Wednesday (Dec. 21, 2005) in Rushford.

Born Dec. 20, 1963, in Rochester, he graduated from Lourdes High School in 1982. He lived in Apple Valley, Minn., for 10 years and had lived in Rushford for the last three years. He served in the National Guard for two years and worked for hardware stores and also area farmers. In 1991, he married Nancy Tonn, and they later divorced. He enjoyed woodworking, walking his dogs and the outdoors.

Survivors include his parents, Stanley and Marilyn Palmer of Rochester; three sisters, Theresa Palmer of Fort Myers, Fla., Julie (Neil) Foley of Marion, Iowa, and Lisa (Tom) Harreld of New Brighton, Minn.; three brothers, Philip (Ann) of Gardner, Kan., Daniel (Anna) of Byron and Nicholas of St. Louis Park, Minn.; and a special friend, Lori Haugen of Rushford.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.
