RUSHFORD — The funeral for Joseph M. "Joey" Laumb will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Rushford Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Roger Michaelson officiating. Burial will be in Rushford Lutheran Cemetery.
Mr. Laumb, 25, of Rushford, died Saturday (April 19, 2008) in an auto accident east of Lanesboro.
Joseph Michael Laumb was born Nov. 22, 1982, in La Crosse, Wis. He was raised in Rushford and graduated from Rushford-Peterson High School in 2001. He worked for Badger Corrugating in La Crosse and Nordic Lanes in Rushford. He was a member of Rushford Lutheran Church and the Sons of American Legion, and loved bowling, softball, hunting, fishing, dancing and entertaining everyone.
He is survived by his parents, Mike and Rena (Montgomery) Laumb; a brother, Jeffrey of Rochester; a sister, Alison (Christian) Dvorak of Rochester; and his maternal grandparents, Donald and Carol Montgomery of Lewiston. Other survivors include two nephews, Jackson and Jace; and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Bernice Laumb, and two uncles.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hoff Funeral Home in Rushford, and an hour before the service Thursday at the church.
