ROCHESTER -- The funeral for Joyce M. Weatherly will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester, with the Rev. Scott Jorgenson officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Weatherly, 72, of Rochester, died Thursday (April 18, 2002) at Seasons Hospice in Rochester.
Joyce M. Mastenbrook was born April 30, 1929, in Mantorville, and graduated from Kasson High School. On Sept. 12, 1947, she married Clifford Weatherly in Dubuque, Iowa. The couple lived in Eyota for a short time and later moved to Rochester. Mr. Weatherly, a truck driver, died Dec. 31, 2001. She retired in 1992, after more than 20 years as a secretary in the business office at Rochester Methodist Hospital. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary Post 2228 and enjoyed bowling, golfing and polka dancing.
Survivors include two sons, Mark (Carol) of Kasson and Michael (Deb) of Rochester; three daughters, Nancy Weatherly, Robin (Tim) Ratcliff, and Cynthia (Scott) Pacheco-Weatherly, all of Rochester; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A granddaughter and a great-granddaughter also preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and one hour before the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
