Judy Ann Glenzinski — Rochester

ROCHESTER — The funeral Mass for Judy Ann Glenzinski will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. Matthew Fasnacht officiating. Burial will be in St. Bridget’s Cemetery.

Mrs. Glenzinski, 67, of Rochester, died Friday (April 17, 2009) after a 19-year battle with mesothelioma.

Judy Ann Schlesser was born March 23, 1942, in Arcadia, Wis. She graduated from Trempealeau High School in 1960 and from the Winona Business College in 1961. She worked in Winona for four years. On Sept. 4, 1965, she married Duane Joseph Glenzinski in Arcadia. The couple settled in Rochester. After raising her family, she held various jobs in Rochester, retiring in 1992 from the Olmsted County Health Department. She was a member of St. Bridget’s Church finance and funeral committees and quilting group. She loved traveling, gardening, birds, baking, quilting and being with family.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Michael (Shannon) of Chatfield, Mark (Stephanie) of Prior Lake and Brian (Jill) of Waukesha, Wis.; seven grandchildren; a sister, Sally Hammond of Willmar, Minn.; four brothers, Steve of Burnsville, Minn., and Dennis, Marvin and Dale, all of Galesville, Wis.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Macken Funeral Home and an hour before the service Tuesday at the church.

The family prefers memorials to American Cancer Society or Mayo Clinic Cancer Research.
