Julie A. McKenzie — Lake City

LAKE CITY — The memorial Mass for Julie A. McKenzie will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City, with the Rev. James Russell officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Julie McKenzie, 55, formerly of Lake City, died last week. She was found Nov. 26, 2007, at her home in Duluth, Minn.

Julie Ann McKenzie was born July 2, 1952, in Lake City. She grew up in Lake City and attended Lake City schools, graduating in 1970 from Lincoln High School. She earned her RN degree from St. Scholastica College in Duluth. She worked several years in Ashland, Wis., in a nursing home.

She is survived by her father, David McKenzie of Lake City; three sisters, Mary Beth McKenzie of St. Paul, Maureen McKenzie (Ted Haase) of Edmonds, Wash., and Mary Kathleen (Bill) Scott of Palo Alto, Calif.; and three brothers, Dr. David C. (Marion) McKenzie of Gallup, N.M., Dr. Mark (Susan) McKenzie of San Pedro, Calif., and Daniel McKenzie of New York, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret (Ganshirt) McKenzie; and an infant brother, Andrew.

Friends may call an hour before to the service at the church.
