Kasson rode an eight-run second inning to defeat the Rochester Blues 16-8 in Twin Rivers League amateur baseball on Wednesday at Hudson Field.

Greg Polt lasted just 11⁄3 innings for the Blues. He allowed eight runs, on just five hits, in the second inning while walking three.

"His control was just not there at all, not like it normally is," Blues player/manager Tom Jeznach said.

"Kasson hit the ball hard," Jeznach.
