MANTORVILLE -- A 46-year-old rural Kasson man faces drug charges after authorities seized marijuana plants, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia from his property.
Paul David Brannan is charged in Dodge District Court with one count each of first-degree controlled substance crime, second-degree controlled substance crime and third-degree attempted controlled substance crime.
According to a complaint, law enforcement officers searched Brannan's home July 14. They found 44 marijuana plants, 8 grams of white powder that tested positive for meth, and small amounts of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. Officers also reported finding items used in the manufacturing of meth in a grain bin on the property.
Judge Lawrence Agerter set bail at $100,000 during a hearing July 16. Brannan's next court appearance is set for July 30.
