Kenyon-Wanamingo will face St. James on Thursday in Section 2AA baseball finals.
Fourth-seeded St. James beat Waterville-Elysian-Morristown 6-0 and Maple River 4-3 on Tuesday to earth a berth in the section finals.
Kenyon-Wanamingo, the No. 1 seed, is the unbeaten team in the section and needs just one win to earn a state berth. St. James would need two wins to advance to state.
Thursday’s first game is 5 p.m. at LeSueur. The second game, if needed, would follow at about 7:30 p.m.
K-W , which has won seven straight, will take a 17-5 record into the game. Wanamingo went to state in 1977 and ‘79 and Kenyon has never been to state.
