The third annual Kidney Walk to raise money for the National Kidney Foundation serving Minnesota, the Dakotas and Iowa will be Saturday at Silver Lake Park in Rochester.
There is no cure for chronic kidney disease, though it can be prevented through early detection. The foundation offers free kidney health screenings.
Nearly 300 people are expected to participate in the walk. Check-in begins at 4 p.m. at the shelter area on the east side of Silver Lake. The walk starts at 5 p.m.
The event also includes music, games, activities, healthy snacks and information about kidney health from vendors.
