Riverland lost to Fergus Falls on Friday night in a Minnesota Community College Conference, South Division volleyball match.
The Riverland Lady Blue Devils were once again competitive on their home floor. The scores were tight, but Fergus Falls pulled it out at 30-27, 30-26, 25-30, and 30-25.
"We were both banging away and our girls were more lively than against Ridgewater earlier in the week," Riverland coach Helen Jahr said. "We were generating more of an offense, and I really felt we could’ve had the match but Fergus played a little better than we did."

Statistics for Riverland included: Brooke Monson 16 kills; Elissa Preuss 9 kills; Lindsey Semmann 4 blocks; Ashley Lau 3 service aces; Tiffany Preuss 20 set assists; Jackie Venero 11 set assists, 26 digs; and Marie Boe 16 digs.
Riverland (6-5, 0-2 MCCC South) plays today in the Rochester Community and Technical College Tournament. The event is a six-team, two-pool tourney.
