LAKE CITY — They came to eat deep-fired cheese, play kickball, romp around on inflated toys, eat ice cream cones, see others, shop and celebrate their city.
It was the annual Lake City Water Ski Days, one of the region's bigger community festivals. The celebration continues Sunday with a grand parade.
On Saturday, one of the events was a kick ball tournament where participants kicked, caught the ball (some of the time), slid, threw and laughed. In one game, the Jad Wannabees soundly defeated Kook Kickers 11-4.
