Lambert P. Roesch -- Steamboat Springs, Colo.

ROCHESTER -- A private memorial service for Lambert P. "Bud" Roesch was Wednesday in Steamboat Springs, Colo.

Mr. Roesch, 91, of Steamboat Springs, formerly of Rochester, died Wednesday (Sept. 9, 2003) of complications of pneumonia.

Born March 17, 1912, in Ada, Minn., he graduated from Ada High School, where he was a star basketball player. He attended Idaho State University. During World War II, he served with the Rainbow Division, was wounded in action and received the Purple Heart. He married Ruth Pederson of Ada 55 years ago. He lived in Rochester from 1945 to 1978 and was an agency manager for State Farm Insurance Co. for more than 35 years. He and his wife retired to Tarpon Woods, Fla., and spent the summers at their lake home in Aitkin, Minn.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Steve of Largo, Fla.; two daughters, Randy (Neil) Cinquemani of Steamboat Springs and Robin (Robert) Arendts of Mantorville; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
