Laronna M. ‘Connie’ Murphy — Rochester

ROCHESTER — Laronna M. "Connie" Murphy, 74, of Rochester, died Friday (Sept. 14, 2007) at her home.

Laronna Marcella Miland was born July 3, 1933, in Spring Valley. She grew up in the Spring Valley area and attended Wykoff High School. She moved to Rochester, where she was employed by Pace Dairy for almost 30 years. She retired 10 years ago. She enjoyed dancing and reading.

Survivors include two daughters, Cindy (Tom) Wright of Port Orange, Fla., and Donna Murphy of Macon, Ga.; two sons, Jeff Copeman of Chester, Iowa, and Tom (Cheryl) Copeman of Mobile, Ala.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five sisters, Ione Kiether of Rochester, Marion Stein and Elaine Hoopes, both of Stewartville, LaVonne Martens of Chaska, Minn., and Evelyn Odell of Augusta, Ga.; and two brothers, Edward Miland and David Miland, both of Stewartville. She was preceded in death by a son.

A private service was held Sept. 17.

Mahn Family Funeral Home-Rochester Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
