ROCHESTER -- A memorial service for Larry J. Thompson Williams will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Church of the Nazarene in Rochester, with the Rev. Pat Thomas officiating.
Mr. Williams, 44, of Rochester, a Checker Auto Parts employee, died Saturday (Sept. 13, 2003) at Rochester Methodist Hospital of lung cancer following a six-week illness.
Born Sept. 8, 1959, in St. Louis, he grew up there, attended St. Louis schools and later received his GED. He was a delivery driver in St. Louis before moving to Rochester in 1998. At the time of his death, Mr. Williams was employed at Checker Auto Parts and worked part time for Weis Management. He formerly worked at Insty Prints in Rochester. On Nov. 27, 1999, he married Mary Ann Thompson in Stewartville. She is a housing manager for Weis Management Corp. He enjoyed computers, weather-watching and working on cars.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lindsey Ann Thompson of Rochester; his mother, Elizabeth Perry of St. Louis; his father, Henry Williams of St. Louis; his stepmother, Annalee Williams of St. Louis; a brother, Henry E. of St. Louis; and three sisters, Sheila, Shirley and Eloise Williams, all of St. Louis. A sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call an hour before the service Thursday at the church.
