ROCHESTER -- The funeral for Laura M. Anderson will be 1 p.m. Friday at Mahn Family Funeral Home-Rochester Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Nick Mezacapa officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Anderson, 73, of Rochester, a former hotel elevator operator, died Monday (April 8, 2002) at Saint Marys Hospital.
Laura Mae Fordham was born Dec. 11, 1928, in Rochester and attended Rochester schools. She was an elevator operator at the Kahler and Martin hotels until her marriage to Roy Anderson on Nov. 10 1951, in Nashua, Iowa. They lived in Minneapolis for 10 years before returning to Rochester. Her husband died Feb. 2, 1976. Mrs. Anderson enjoyed painting and crafts.
Survivors include a daughter, Debbie O'Guin of West Valley City, Utah; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ruth Fordham of Rochester, Ione Colgan of Florida and Marjorie Peterson of Sacramento, Calif. Two sisters and a brother also preceded her in death.
Friends may call an hour before the service Friday at the funeral home.
