HARMONY -- The funeral for Laura Stoin will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Henrytown Lutheran Church in rural Canton. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Stoin, 89, of Harmony, a former farm homemaker and cook, died Wednesday (April 24, 2002) at Green Lea Manor in Mabel.
Laura Hemmah was born Jan. 13, 1913, in Boman, N.D., attended Eden rural school near Boman and moved to Lanesboro with her family in 1936. She was a cook at Johnson Hospital in Lanesboro until July 1966. On Sept. 21, 1967, she married Maynard Stoin and they lived on a farm near Preston. Mr. Stoin died Jan. 19, 2000.
Survivors include nieces and nephews. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call an hour before the service Saturday at the church.

Lindstrom Funeral Home in Harmony is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
