Lauren M. “Sonny" Adler — Dover

DOVER — A remembrance service for Lauren M. "Sonny" Adler will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Schad & Zabel Funeral in Eyota; friends may share memories of Mr. Adler at the service. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in rural Dover.

Mr. Adler, 69, of Dover, died Tuesday (March 25, 2008) at the Grand Meadow Health Care Center, following a brief battle with lung cancer.

Born Nov. 9, 1938, in Millville, he grew up in the Millville and Rochester area. He was a hard-working man who valued time with his family and friends.

Survivors include four sons, Larry (Amy) of Spring Valley, Dale (Kim) of Lake City, Lance (Gina) of Rochester and Frank of Lynn, Mo.; a daughter, Jenni LaMoyne of Rochester; five grandchildren; his mother, Mildred Adler of Chatfield; seven brothers, Ardelle (Phyllis), Gary (Betty), Carey (Kathy), Merle, James, Charlie and Vernon; and five sisters, Audrey (Palmer) Borgen, Shirley (Stan) Kaase, Diane (Daryl) Larson, Carol (Royce) Quimby and Karen (Steve) Heldt. He was preceded in death by his father and a grandson.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home.
