Legion baseball | A's 10, Albert Lea 0

The Rochester A’s made predictably easy work of Albert Lea on Thursday night, pounding their way to a 10-0 First District American Legion baseball win at Mayo Field.

The game was shortened to five innings by the 10-run rule.

Jordan Martini was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. Blaine Evans was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Winning pitcher was Kyle Sursely. He worked the first three innings, allowing no hits and striking out four.

The A’s (4-6 First District, 13-14 overall) play twice in the Gopher Classic today, taking on Yankton, S.D., at 10:30 a.m. and then Decatur, Ala., at 1 p.m.
