Leif named to all-conference team

ADAMS — The Lyle/Austin Pacelli girls golf team competed in the Southeast Conference meet on Friday at the Cedar River Country Club.

Robin Sautter of Lanesboro was the meet medalist with an 18-hole round of 101. Lyle/Pacelli finished with a 579 team score in the conference meet.

Emily Leif had the low round for Lyle/Pacelli with a 121 on the day. Molly McGonigal shot a 153, Jennie Marx had a 155, and Abby Leif L/P had a 150 for the L/P Athletics.

Emily Leif was named to the all-conference team and McGonigal was chosen as honorable mention.

Lanesboro had five girls on the All-SEC team. Paige Hungerholt, Sautter, Kiah Halvorson, Stacy Mensink, and Katlin Peterson were all chosen as all-conference. Aimee Nelson was honorable mention for Lanesboro.


Houston had Erin Knutson, Jessica Meeks, and Amber Vix on the all-conference team. Theresa Berault was honorable mention for Houston. There were a total of 10 girls on the all-conference team as Alexa Wilson of LaCrescent also made the list.

Lyle/Pacelli girls compete in the subsection meet on Tuesday at the Willow Creek course near Rochester.
