LAKE CITY -- The funeral for Lenora W. Kackmann will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City, with the Revs. Scott Carmichael and Dennis Valleau co-officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Lake City.

Mrs. Kackmann, 90, of Lake City, died Saturday (July 9, 2005) at the Lake City Hospital.

Lenora Stehr was born Aug. 6, 1914, in Chester Township, Wabasha County, attended District 65 School and graduated from St. John's Lutheran Parochial School in Lake City. She married Lewis Kackmann on Oct. 4, 1939, at St. James Lutheran Church in Chester Township, and they farmed in the West Albany area until moving to Lake City in 1981. Mr. Kackmann died June 20, 1993. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the KYN Birthday Club.

Survivors include five sons, Robert (Marlene), John (Beverly), Ralph, Lee and Donald, all of Lake City; one daughter, Kathleen (Kenny) Johnson of Zumbro Falls; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Finstuen of Red Wing; and two brothers, Herbert Stehr of Lake City and the Rev. John Stehr of Waconia, Minn. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel, in Lake City. Friends also may call an hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
