ROCHESTER -- The funeral for Leola M. Schroeder will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester with the Rev. William Otte officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.
Mrs. Schroeder, 86, of Rochester, died Thursday (Sept. 18, 2003) at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Leola M. Gerths was born Jan. 11, 1917, in Farmington Township, Olmsted County. On Sept. 18, 1934, she married Arnold Schroeder at Potsdam Lutheran Church. Mrs. Schroeder was a homemaker and a lifelong Rochester resident. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ringe Mothers and Daughters Club, and Trinity Lutheran Church Ladies Aid. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, crocheting, baking, canning and sewing.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Marlys (Elmer) Sass of Chatfield and Lois "Sally" Clobes of Lewiston; a son, James (Linda) of Rochester; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Ranfranz &; Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester, and at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the service.
