let 2 pillars of community are gone

During the past 60 days, Rochester has lost two big, big men who made enormous contributions to the cementing and building of the very foundations of Rochester and Olmsted County -- Bill Sipple and Jean McConnell.

They both touched the lives of many. I knew and worked on real estate matters with Bill for the past 40 years. It is indeed sad that we are no longer able to count on the good works of these two men. It's not fair that we'll not be able to have the support and sound advice of these people based on their intelligence and experiences. No sit-at-homes were Bill and Jean, they have left a trail of high quality deeds and efforts.

Our sympathy for the families and for the city they helped build.
