LET Annex elk farm, build schools

This is in reply to Larry Stoddard's letter Feb. 6 regarding the annexation of the Hoehne Elk Farm on Highway 52 north of Rochester.

The writer states that Pine Island has the infrastructure to handle this development, but he fails to address the obvious, the lack of school space. Bond issues for a new school have been repeatedly turned down by Pine Island area residents.

Are the Hoehne brothers with their newfound millions going to build this needed school? I think not; only their poor neighbors will be expected to pay.
