After watching the first debate, I came away more impressed with George Bush and less impressed with John Kerry. George Bush struck me as informed, articulate and, most of all, honest.
I came away less trusting of John Kerry. Mr. Kerry's positions did not make sense to me. He said that the war was a mistake, but then when specifically asked if troops were dying for a mistake, all of a sudden it wasn't a mistake.
He said he would not turn U.S. security to other countries, but all I heard from him is how getting other countries' permission was the "right way" to just about everything He would even get some sort of "global permission" before preemptively attacking a threat.
Kerry criticized the president's decisions in Iraq even though he voted for them. President Bush has a vision of how to fight the war on terror and how to rebuild and win in Iraq. John Kerry's main argument is that he is not President Bush.
