LET Canfield works for education

As immediate past chair of Greater Rochester University Center, I commend and thank Mayor Chuck Canfield for his strong support and valued participation over the past several years, and particularly this year as we have worked to achieve a new higher education academic leadership agreement for Rochester and our region.

It is our mutual belief that University of Minnesota Rochester leadership and recognition will bring business value in research and technology transfer, national visibility and make Rochester more competitive in attracting and retaining a knowledge-based workforce. Take note that Mayor Canfield has been very active in projects benefiting the youth of our community, as well. Boys and Girls Club and Gamehaven Boy Scout Council are just two examples.
