LET Cat coverage was not wasted

I can assure you your news coverage regarding the cat "Courage" was not wasted or stupid, as was suggested by Ryan Rhodes in the June 20 Letters to the Editor column.

Aside from the fact that this was a cruel and senseless act against a defenseless animal, studies support that those who would commit such an act would not hesitate to act against humans in the same manner of cruelty.

The Post-Bulletin not only did a fine job of reporting on this incident it did a public service by notifying the community that people of this mindset do indeed exist in our community.

Hopefully, the reward for finding the perpetrator will swell -- and the P-B will make an issue of this.
