LET Child-care provider to be honored

In Olmsted County, about 500 licensed child care providers care for 4,500 children each day in their home-based child care programs. As President of the Family Child Care Inc. Association, I note with pride the level of quality care in our area.

Family Child Care offers a range of needs and preferences for parents and their children. Providers often work long hours to meet the various work schedules of many parents. I ask that you stop to consider the contribution made by family child care providers who have touched the lives of children, parents and your community.

Family Child Care Inc. is accepting nominations for the 2002 Professional Provider of the Year. Anyone in Olmsted County who is aware of an exceptional child care provider is encouraged to submit a nomination. We are accepting nominations from through Feb. 28.
