LET Dutcher aims for middle ground

I'm so sorry the Post-Bulletin did not cover the DFL lieutenant governor candidate's appearance in Rochester last week. Those who attended learned not only what a vivacious and down-home person Judi Dutcher is, but what her role will be once elected.

She'll be the liaison between the governor's office and each and every one of our state's 201 senators and representatives. Her warm personal style will no doubt be a huge help in finding the middle ground solutions so urgently needed.

Hers is another story, she said, of a moderate Republican who is now a DFLer; not because she changed, but because the Republican party changed. I urge the Post-Bulletin and area voters to learn more about Judi Dutcher, former Republican state auditor and current DFL candidate for lieutenant governor.
