LET Give Bush the edge

I wasn't able to see the second presidential debate, but I made an extra effort to see the final and perhaps most important debate. I was able to see it with my wife and visiting mother.

I think watching it with family members makes it more fun and insightful. I thought Kerry looked very poised and confident. My wife was quick to point out that Kerry was good to mention his mother when asked about strong women in his life where President Bush only mentioned his wife Laura.

On the other side, I thought President Bush was more positive and optimistic about the domestic issues facing this country, and had a realistic approach to health care. My wife thought he was more consistent on the issues discussed, and liked his stand on values and traditional marriages. My mother thought President Bush was decisive, seemed to know where he stands on issues, and was solid on national security.

After discussing our views after the debate the three of us agreed that Bush probably got the edge over Kerry in this debate.
