We're a little more than a week into the Minnesota government shutdown and, contrary to Post-Bulletin warnings of doom, the world has not ended. In fact, I have not noticed a single difference. I suspect the majority of Minnesotans could say the same.
I haven't been following the political battles, so I don't know who is really to blame. But I'm a fair person. I'm willing to give both sides the credit.
Let the government stay shut down, for as long as possible. All of us who are not net tax eaters will reap the benefits in money saved. Meanwhile, few voters will remember or care by November.
