President Bush clearly found himself in a bad spot during the debates.
The main focus of his argument was that Kerry did not have a clear stance on the war against Iraq. Sen. Kerry was very clear on the war.
The war was not a mistake, when and how we handled it was. It is the same position Kerry has had since this campaign started. Kerry has not "flip-flopped." He may have been guilty of not clearly getting his point across, but after the debate on Sept. 30 that is no longer an issue.
The one-dimensional "flip flop" attack that the Bush/Cheney ticket have used as not only their primary argument but, quite frankly, their only argument against Kerry has lost all its momentum.
