LET KROC carried the address live

In a Jan. 26 letter to the editor, a reader claimed that the Rochester media was irresponsible for not carrying Gov. Tim Pawlenty's State of the State address from the Superior Drive Mayo Building on Jan. 18.

I can't speak for the other Rochester media, but I do know that KROC-AM 1340 did in fact carry the entire State of the State address live on-the-air that day. News Director Kim David was also on hand with reports before and after the governor's address, with interviews and reactions from local lawmakers in attendance.

2005 marks the 70th year that KROC-AM has proudly served the Rochester area with local news, weather, sports and talk. Hopefully, covering an event like this is another example of our continued commitment to our listeners and our community.
