LET Marcoux is a responsive official

After having Marcia Marcoux as our council member, I recommend her for another term in office for several reasons. Marcia has been responsive when contacted. She returns calls and listens, with courtesy, to all points of view. Her greatest strength is the ability to work with people to try to achieve a compromise between differing points of view. One example is her work on Cascade Lake Park.

A large number of people attended the open public presentation by the consultants charged to incorporate public and technical data on Cascade Lake Park.

Some of the attendees had totally different ideas than what was presented. Marcia has worked to maintain the integrity and purity of Cascade Lake for the public good. She also has worked with representatives from the Manor Woods Lake neighborhood to encourage the concept of the acceptance of the size of Manor Woods Lake and the water quality the immediate neighbors can live with.

Like all compromises, not everyone gets everything that is wanted but the neighbors and the public have a stake in the continuation of this long anticipated concept of park development of Cascade Lake.

This ability to be able to reach compromises is one of the most important assets a public official can have. This is why Marcia is my choice to continue to represent us on the Rochester City Council.
