let Money isn't there for our own

"Due to budget concerns, the Bush administration has …; "

That is a phrase I hear or read a lot lately. There are Americans going to bed hungry this evening because we as a nation do not have prescription drug coverage for needy seniors or medical coverage for the underprivileged.

I read recently where one of us referred to those dumb Democratic programs. To him I say, ask your parents if they think Social Security is a dumb program. We seem to have all the necessary money to give other countries so they will join our coalition, or rebuild Afghanistan, yet the money isn't there for our own. Why does President Bush need a coalition? He breaks treaties whenever he wants to anyway.

We are so quick to condemn other nations for human rights violations without looking in the mirror. "Leave no child behind" was and is a catchy phrase. If one looks at the education budget, the resources are not there. Wouldn't it be nice if the politicians learned "if you talk the talk" you have to "walk the walk."
