I am writing this letter with an open mind after reading three different letters to the editor, a few weeks ago, regarding the redistricting in Wabasha County. This was requested by a person that calls himself a good citizen.
That same good citizen was on the county board in the late 1990s. There was no change or redistricting since 1982. In 1992 there was no change. That good citizen must have thought it was OK then. It now appears that the reason was to get District 3 on the ballot now, not two years from now. That good citizen wanted to file and run now. He wants to unseat Merl Norman, an excellent commissioner who attends all the county board meetings, not just when he has time.
