LET Praise for Phengta

We are part of The Trust Project.

We greatly enjoyed your recent feature article, "Educating both worlds."

Phengta Phetsarath is indeed the personification of lifelong learning. Last fall, she enrolled in the inaugural class in the University of Minnesota Rochester's Program in Translation and Interpreting. Her enthusiasm for the subject matter and her genuine intellectual curiosity were infectious. She made, and continues to make, a significant contribution to our program.

The influx of immigrants during the past 15 years has helped southeastern Minnesota begin to look more like the rest of America. Phengta Phetsarath is a wonderful example of what this region can offer to immigrants, and what they can offer to us.
