I just listened to President Bush's hard-line statement against Iraq. I was already a supporter of the war. But Bush served to quiet any doubts I may have had about starting a conflict with this evil man.
How can anyone who is good, moral and decent condone the atrocities that Saddam Hussein has carried out against his own people? It is time for change in Iraq. I support the president's decision, not just because I happen to agree with him, but also because I know he doesn't take this war lightly. I know he has agonized over this decision for months. And he has earned my respect for what I believe was one of the toughest decisions a president of the United States has ever had to make.
The best thing we can do as a nation is pray. Pray for our president. Pray for our troops. Pray that this is over soon.
