A 26 percent raise, $6,500 per member, $45,500 per year altogether. These type of positions were not designed as a way to make a living.
Local government positions where established as part-time positions. Most full-time employees don't even get a cost of living raise. The sad thing about this is that it could eliminate some programs in Olmsted County that rely on county funding, and people who rely on these programs will suffer while our elected county commissioners are fattening up their pockets.
