Please take time to say thank you to our veterans when you see them. Keep in mind the sacrifices these brave men and women have made for our country.
As I was walking to my car on Veterans' Day, I came across a veteran and stopped to shake his hand and thank him for his service. The fact that I stopped to say something stunned him, and as he put it, "You've made my day."
The entire exchange lasted only a minute, but it's a minute I, and perhaps he, will remember for a long time.
