On Saturday, Aug. 24, I attended the Hurst-Kirchner wedding at the Val-A Lodge/Ballroom in Chatfield.
What a joy -- the elegance, ambiance and dignity of the Val-A and staff were superb. It was a trip back in time with the Victorian decor and the beautiful crystal chandeliers.
The theme guest rooms were unique, another added surprise.
There was a white gazebo which was the setting for the beautiful wedding -- a bride's dream.
How fortunate southeastern Minnesota offers such unique accommodations.
