Making it sound as though installing $5,000 worth of chrome and loud pipes is a "precautionary" step to take for motorcyclists' safety is in my opinion absolutely ridiculous.
Noise control for road and off-road bikes needs to be taken seriously for motorcyclists and the rest of the public to co-exist.
The best precaution one can take, and one which has been proven time and time again, (and which was failed to even be MENTIONED in this article), is wearing a helmet!
