The Rochester Public Library's "That Writing Contest" is open to young adults ages 10 to 18.
Original poetry and short stories may be submitted in three different age categories: 10- to 12-year-olds, 13- to 15-year-olds and 16- to 18-year-olds. All entries will be reviewed by a panel in conjunction with the library's Youth Advisory Board, and the winning submissions will be published online and in a booklet distributed at the awards ceremony. Each category will have two winners, first place receiving a $50 Apache Mall gift certificate and second place receiving a $25 Apache Mall gift certificate.
