Local band featured on Internet site

Listeners the world over are able to tune into local music by Six Mile Grove.

"Vs. The World" by Six Mile Grove is on the August edition of The Medicine Show on Scottish Internet Radio, www.internetradio.co.uk/medicine_show.html, which features the best of roots music from around the world.

Closer to home, Six Mile Grove performs Friday at the Tunes For A Cure cancer benefit concert in the band's hometown of Lyle. The concert, which will be held at the American Legion in downtown Lyle, is kicks off fundraising efforts for Lyle Area Cancer.

Music starts at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $5. For more information, visit www.lyleareacancer.org.

Six Mile Grove will also perform at Luther College Homecoming Oct. 7 at T-Bocks in downtown Decorah, Iowa. Tickets are $6 in advance, $8 at the door.
