Nearly 80 community members and visitors sought out historical matches to picture in the first-ever Downtown Rochester Architectural Scavenger Hunt.
With 21 days to participate, the scavenger hunt allowed people to navigate the city at a pace that suited them best — be it a single day or over a couple of weeks — before submitting their guesses to the 12 notable buildings included in the hunt.
Sixty-five participants correctly identified all 12 buildings and were entered in a drawing for one of three prizes, which included memberships to state and local history centers, gift cards to local businesses and a variety of local merchandise.
The winners were:
• First place — Megan Sucher
• Second place — Kay Hilgendorf
• Third place — Quentin Schmierer
