Matt Bissonette, former vice president of the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce, has been hired as Rochester Community and Technical College's interim dean of career and technical education and business partnerships.
Bissonette succeeds Lori Jenson, who returns to her role as RCTC's associate dean of career and technical education.
As chamber's vice president, Bissonette focused on partnerships with K-12, higher education and workforce development in the Rochester area. Previously, Bissonette served as Riverland Community College's dean of business and technology, trade and industry, as well as health and wellness.
The Stewartville native has a bachelor's degree form the University of Iowa, a master's from Bethel Seminary (St. Paul), and a doctorate from the University of Wisconsin–Stout.
Bissonette's first day on campus will be Aug. 19.
