Civic Center Drive at 6th Avenue Northwest reopened to through traffic Monday.

The thoroughfare was closed due to unexpected utility installation needed as part of projects on Sixth and Seventh avenues.

Crews worked around the clock, seven days a week to complete the project. Rain caused some minor delays, however work was still completed within the expected timeline of less than two weeks.

Sidewalks at the intersection of Civic Center Drive and Sixth Avenue Northwest are still closed. These sidewalks will be installed as planned during the adjacent reconstruction project happening on Sixth Avenue Northwest.
