NWS Zumbro flood gauge

A chart from the National Weather Service shows the recent water elevations on the Zumbro River in Rochester.

A mild storm front is forecast to enter the region sometime Tuesday afternoon or Tuesday night that will bring showers and thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service in La Crosse, Wis.

Forecasts show the storms are not likely to be big rain producers, said Ken Jones, Rochester Emergency Management Director. Rain from the storms likely will not lead to flooding.

Extended forecasts call for milder weather the remainder of the week, Jones said.

Flood warnings at Cascade Creek and the South fork of the Zumbro River — where 3.37 inches of rain fell Friday — were allowed to expire late Saturday.
